Project Lead - Takeda

Job Description

Our client is a global pharmaceutical company who are looking for a Project lead to join their team on contract basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the BPR-I project (SAP integration, Finance and Supply Chain modules) for Australia and New Zealand. As well as supporting other related projects such as :

    • Procurement system (ARIBA) integration.
    • Concur integration.
    • Corporate card program transition.
    • Legal entity integration.

Key Tasks:

  • Represent the Finance and Supply Chain teams in the Oceania Cluster in a number of projects across the business relating to the Takeda-Shire integration.
  • Participate in weekly project calls and represent local teams in ensuring changes and impacts on the business are well understood.
  • Act as a liaison between the Regional Project Leads and local team to ensure timely delivery of the projects by ensuring all project deliverables required from the local team are met in line with target time tables and collation of input and data in conjunction with relevant stakeholders in the business.
  • Manage project timelines with local team to ensure no slippage to project go-live dates.
  • Support the local team in ensuring local requirements and input into process and system designs are incorporated into the projects.
  • Develop and execute communications strategy and plan and ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged on changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and facilitate test plans to ensure all user testing is completed adequately and on time with all test results summarized and communicated back to development team.
  • Preparation of localised training materials for relevant projects.
  • Ensure adequate SOPs are in place for each project.
  • Maintain risks and issues log for each project and ensure they are managed and addressed appropriately.
  • Assist in the formulation of various policies required to support the new systems and processes to ensure appropriate controls and compliance measure are in place.
  • Develop, coordinate and execute training plan to ensure all relevant staff members in the local organization are adequately trained.
  • Develop cutover plan for each project in conjunction with project team to ensure seamless transition for each project and business disruptions are minimised.
  • Ensure appropriate Hyper-Care support is in place post go-live.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the financial records of the Australia and New Zealand businesses.
  • Define and maintain the financial controls processes and frameworks to safeguard the assets of the business.
  • Responsible for all internal and external financial reporting requirements.

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience in project management in the areas of Finance and ideally also Supply Chain or related ERP areas and legal entity integration or as a finance SME in system implementation or legal entity integration projects.
  • Experience in SAP is critical.
  • Experience in ARIBA and Concur will be highly desirable.
  • Technical / Functional (Line) Expertise:
    • Strong project management experience with proven record of leading large scale IT system implementation projects
    • Sound understanding of SAP in particular finance and supply chain modules
  • Ability to manage complex project plans and functional interdependencies.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage conflicting demands and appropriately prioritise.

  • Ability to achieve results through influence and persuasion.
  • Regular engagement with internal stakeholders both in country and above country.
