About the role:

As a member of the projects team you will bring engineering project management capability to execute projects in accordance with the Projects Management Framework, relevant site standards and approved performance targets. Success in this role will be achieved through engagement with key stakeholders, external design consultants, construction contractors and materials suppliers. You will actively project-manage the design, execution, handover, commissioning and close-out phases of multiple multi-disciplinary projects, and will be directly accountable for managing safety, cost, schedule, quality and operational readiness on your projects.

In this role you will:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety
  • Project manage multiple mid-range projects through the design, execution, commissioning, handover and close-out phases
  • Ensure compliance to company requirements, statutory regulations and standards, and relevant site standards and specifications
  • Provide input into strategic plans, budgets and targets, and ensure compliance for projects
  • Perform regular evaluation of project risks and implement controls where necessary. Regular field verification of risk controls will be required
  • Provide regular project progress reports, across various platforms, to all stakeholders
  • Hold a high standard of personal operational discipline and establish routines necessary for safe and efficient project delivery
  • Coordinate operational readiness requirements so that handover of projects is inclusive of all maintenance plans, work instructions, spare parts, etc
  • At project completion, ensure all project documentation has been updated to as-commissioned status and submitted for final endorsement and storage
  • Regularly liaise with other project teams and operational functions across Olympic Dam to provide sharing of knowledge and aid continual improvement in project delivery
  • Prepare investment submission documents for approval
  • Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates and schedules and track, monitor and measure project performance

About you:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering is desirable but not essential
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent computing skills
  • Demonstrated contractor and key stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly technical and detailed
  • Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude
