The Responsibilities
- Participate in estimating and tendering, including quantity take-offs and resource allocation.
- Analyse drawings and prepare work programs, timelines, and cash flow plans.
- Develop and implement detailed Project Management, Safety, and Environmental Plans.
- Oversee quality control and ensure adherence to specifications and timelines.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and professional bodies for project execution and tender preparation.
- Contribute to the development and review of the Integrated Management System.
- Assist with site preparation, mobilisation, and AutoCAD drawings.
- Prepare bills of quantities and coordinate material procurement.
- Plan and optimise work efficiency with managers and supervisors.
- Advise senior management to achieve company strategies and objectives.
- Support General and Business Unit Managers with project planning and cost analysis.
- Collaborate with team members for successful project outcomes.
- Maintain the QHSEMS system, including manuals and procedures.
- Prepare internal audit schedules with client systems.
- Provide WHS-related advice to clients.
- Identify competency standards and QHSE requirements for site personnel.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining the company's formal QHSE system.
- Monitor and report on WHS and safety performance.
- Prioritise safety in all project activities.
- Promote and uphold the company's brand and values.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety, and statutory requirements.
- Foster a supportive learning environment for employees.
Travel Requirement
This position requires regular travel and away work.
Regional travel will be required and, from time to time, travel interstate.
The Candidate
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
- Possess a White Card.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Practical and results-driven approach.
- Exhibit integrity, respect, and enthusiasm.
- Demonstrate judgement and behaviour aligned with company values.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in project management.
- Skilled in planning and scheduling.
- High computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Project, Word, and Excel.
- Experience in industrial/commercial building is preferred.
- Estimating experience is a plus.
