There are multiple vacancies for Regional Liaison Officers who will support the delivery and management of programs of work, including those funded under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).This position will work closely with Councils, State Government and Non-Government organisations throughout Queensland and be responsible for scoping, delivering and monitoring programs. The programs are comprised largely of public road infrastructure, in addition to other resilience and recovery initiatives across the state. Key Duties:Monitor the progress of submission development by providing guidance as necessary to facilitate accurate submission and timely lodgementUndertake regular on-the-ground site inspections and program reviews to monitor the quality, correctness and completeness of funded works, providing assistance to ensure that delivery reporting requirements are met and cash flow forecasts are representative of the delivery agent’s expenditure are accurately communicated.Undertake submission conformance (with respect to documentation and evidence), and assessment of submissions, assessing eligibility, scope and accuracy of cost estimatesProvide effective issues identification (progress, delivery, costs and risks), management and solution generation to mitigate riskEffectively represent the authority's interests in delivery agent relationships and issues management. Gain a local and regional understanding of community profiles, infrastructure, risks and opportunities to assist in the identification and prioritisation of key improvement and resilience projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will:Experience in Infrastructure Delivery, Project Management, Contract Management and Cost AnalysisTertiary qualification in Civil Engineering Previous experience in disaster recovery projects is highly desired It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
