Take this opportunity to join a established and busy organisation who specialises in providing and maintaining a range of bespoke and market leading power generation products to a broad range of industry customers across Australia. Due to recent project wins, there is a full-time opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer based in Adelaide.

You may be near the start of your career, you maybe near the end. You maybe a qualified engineer who is looking for something a bit different. The important aspect is, you have a strong mechanical background and you are passionate when it comes to engines.

Key elements of the role:

  • Develop and maintain project plans and schedules ensuring design and construction completion on time and within budgets i.e. within contractual and technical requirements
  • Monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs
  • Develop and maintain accurate cost control and schedules
  • Provide a safe and secure workplace for all employees by actively working with staff to achieve the safety policies of the business and the policies of it’s clients
  • Provide technical support to the project team ensuring compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals and standards.
  • Determine construction methods, materials and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures
  • Organising and directing site labour and delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for coordination of site activities
  • Engagement and management of subcontractors to meet their contractual obligations
  • Develop efficient communication between various project groups, as well as internal and external stakeholder

The suitable candidate will posses the following:

  • Any professional qualification in mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge and passion for power generation equipment
  • Experience in a similar role will be considered but is also open to others
  • Leadership qualities ideally experience - desirable
  • Effective communication skills
  • Effective writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and be organised
  • Have the ability to build relationships and rapport with all levels of staff and clients
  • Strong PC and computing skills (MS Office)
