Excellent opportunity has arrived to join a leading organisation as a Project Director in their Sydney office in a 12 month contract.

The Director of the Integration AML Program will be responsible for the planning, management, control and delivery of the program. The AML / CTF Improvement Program is focused on uplifting the capability of the company standard. Key focus areas will be Know Your Customer (KYC), Transaction Monitoring, Venue and venue staff training, enhanced customer due diligence, AUSTRAC reporting, and training for employees and Board.

On a daily basis you will be involved in:

  • Set the Strategy for the AML Integration Program and ensure the approaches are fit for purpose to ensure adequate controls are in place and changes are sustainable
  • Mobilise the program – streams, appropriate resourcing, clear roles/responsibilities and ensure the plans will deliver the strategy
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships
  • End to end program direction across multiple workstreams
  • Establish and lead appropriate governance across working groups, steering committee, various risk committees and the Board.
  • Provide the escalation support to the project managers and change managers
  • Manage risks and issues with strong collaboration and outcome orientation
  • Foster open and consistent communication with key internal and external stakeholders and build consensus. Gain agreement and resolve issues and conflicts.
  • Ensure project / change managers follow enterprise project management methodologies, tools and governance processes and have strong record keeping
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory obligations

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Experience in a directing large and complex AML / CTF programs or projects
  • Evidence of delivering strong outcomes for business in challenging stakeholder environments
  • Post-graduate qualifications in Business and/or Law. In depth understanding of the relevant governing laws and standards surrounding AML / CTF.
  • Experience with negotiation, consultation and communication within a complex project environment across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships within internal and external stakeholders and bring cross functional teams together
  • Demonstrated ability to create documents including business cases, steering committee & Board papers, presentations, technical and commercial content
  • History of Senior Program and Project Management skills with a proven ability to deliver the projects objectives on time and within budget
  • Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of Project Management discipline, principles and practice in Agile environments
  • Certification in PRINCE2 or PMBoK or equivalent methodology
