Our state government client is currently seeking a junior engineer who is looking to expand on their experience in mantienance projects. Based in Wollongong, the position is a Grade 1 level for a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension thereafter.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop project briefs for rehabilitation and maintenance of bridge works including initiation for bridge replacement
  • Analyse and interpret bridge condition, cost and other relevant information to support the development bridge strategies
  • Monitor and report on bridge project progress in order to evaluate current program and forward year impacts.
  • Manage the collection and assessment of bridge, and where applicable asset and condition data in order to provide advice on the extent and type of maintenance work required on the bridges .
  • Provide engineering advice on bridge works for rehabilitation and maintenance projects
  • Manage professional service contractors and internal service providers by preparing documentation, convening regular progress meetings and managing deliverables to ensure that specified outcomes are achieved.
  • Coordinate handover and disposal of bridge and operating assets to ensure accurate bridge asset information is maintained.
