About the role

Located in the Program Management Office (PMO), you will be working as a Scheduler within a large program of internal and external facing deliverables. You will provide high quality services across multiple programs and projects. Further, you are required to set and maintain standards, and provide guidance / expert advice.

This opportunity is a contract through to the 25th of January 2019.

Our client is currently investing heavily to improve their customer experience with a strategy that falls under a larger program of work focusing on delivering a more seamless, convenient and empowering experience for all users.

About you

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to provide updates to all levels, including senior management
  • Innovative problem solver with an ability to effectively identify and resolve issues.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Solid time management and organisational skills, adaptable, open to change with ability to juggle conflicting priorities

Skills

  • Superior Microsoft suite skills (Project, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Sound experience in working with key stakeholders in developing and maintaining delivery schedules
  • Extensive experience in project resource mapping and tracking
  • Experience in development and reporting of critical path activities

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management or relevant industry experience (informal qualifications)
  • Certification in Project Management Methodologies (i.e. PRINCE2)
  • Demonstrated experience in Program/Project Scheduling and Reporting

Duties

  • Provide support in the establishment, administration and maintenance of the schedule of work in line with the program of work, providing guidance and support to make effective schedule decisions based on priority and risk
  • Provide subject matter expertise for scheduling to the directorate
  • Lead the schedule function within the directorate providing training and support on all aspect for scheduling
  • Accountable for proactively identifying risks and issues that will have impacts on program delivery timelines and liaise with relevant delivery leads
