With over 90 years experience in medicine and human health they are a highly respected company and securing employment within the company is highly sought after

Due to the new season production of influenza vaccines for the Northern Hemisphere market, we are now recruiting for highly motivated candidates to commit for a 8-10 month period working in the Company's head office in Parkville (Melbourne)

Some of the key responsibilities of this position are
  • Repetitive manual handling up to 15kg
  • Basic machine operation
  • Daily cleaning of equipment and work environment
  • Maintaining a high level of hygiene and clean standards
  • Comfortable with following repetitive gowning procedures
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with CGMP, HS&E and in house Quality Management System requirements.
  • Completion of batch documentation
  • Prepare equipment used in the process, this includes intermediate bottles, fittings, filters and machine parts. This will include using automated and manual washing equipment and integrity testing of filters.
  • Routine cleaning of plant and production work areas
  • Environmental Monitoring
  • Operation of Laboratory equipment including Autoclaves
  • Egg receipt and Sanitation
  • Egg Inoculation, Candling and Harvesting
  • Operation of Zonal centrifuge
  • Operation of Automated Ultrafiltration plant (AFF)
  • Operation of Automated Egg Disposal Unit (EDU)
  • Perform Lowry Protein Assay on Zonal Fractions, IZP and MPH
  • Perform Centrifuge Pooling, Virus Inactivation and IZP transfer processes
  • Accurately perform Sonication, Sterile Filtration and Ultrafiltration.
To be considered for these roles you will need to meet the following criteria and have the following skills and attributes
  • Great Communication
  • Well presented, Clean Safety Boots and protective clothing
  • Must be able to commence Monday 12th November 2018 and be able to commit for a to 8 to 10 month period (applicants with visa restrictions will not be considered)
  • Must have a positive attitude towards work and take direction from supervisors
  • The position will require you to be available for 36-40 hours per week as a minimum.
  • Perform your daily duties consistent with Company values: Customer Focus, Innovation, Integrity, Collaboration and Superior Performance
  • Must be reliable and trustworthy
  • Must have Flu Vaccination prior to beginning employment
  • Must not have Egg Allergies
  • Must not be Pregnant during work in the Influenza Production department
  • Must be able to pass a national police check
  • Prior manufacturing/production experience favourable
