ABOUT THE EMPLOYER:

My client is a large corporate business that has grown over the years by acquisitions. The group specialises in Construction & Infrastructure material and product supplier with the private and government sector.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

This is a great opportunity for anyone ready to step up off the tools or in a Supervisory role looking for a new challenge. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring machinery output, maintenance and repairs with a focus on product quality, whilst driving workplace safety and environmental functions of the business.

Key Duties:

  • Driving the onsite maintenance program for all machinery and closing out maintenance issues in a timely and cost efficient manner.
  • Lead the continuous improvement programme, including 5S.
  • Drive best practice WH&S performance throughout the team, organising the committee meetings, update MSDS & first aid records.
  • Document best practice using SOP’s in all processes.
  • Deliver, monitor and record training in SOPs.
  • Help investigate accidents and injuries around the group to enable accurate reporting and come up with solutions.
  • Monitor safety training in all locations, making sure the business is on track with KPI’s.
  • Be the first point of call for WH&S issues working with the SHEQ Manager to create and close out NCR’s.
  • Monitor the SHEQ performance with daily walk-arounds, looking for potential problems, monitoring housekeeping standards and conducting internal audits and inspections

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualification preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role, Machinery and WHS Systems
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Salary package negotiable depending on experience
  • Only Permanent Residence for Australian Citizens will be considered for the role
