Randstad has been given the exclusive opportunity to recruit a motivated and experienced Product Manager for our clients specialise in residental refrigerated products based in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
You will play a key role in providing engineering input, strategic planning, and problem-solving for the design and development of new refrigerated products, as well as modifications to existing ones. Your efforts will significantly contribute to the financial success of the organisation through cost reduction initiatives, enhancing production efficiency, and implementing design improvements.
Key Responsibilities
... - Lead the design of innovative residential refrigerationed products, air conditioning and enhancements to existing lines.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining product specifications, and managing product approval processes.
- Identify and engage potential suppliers, coordinate product requirements, manage prototypes, and oversee testing and certification timelines.
- Provide engineering documentation and support to meet quality standards.
- Actively participate in CAPA and TSA processes, ensuring prompt action in accordance with the quality system.
- Identify and communicate commercial opportunities associated with product design and alterations, presenting findings to senior management.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets for product development.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in products and processes while promoting teamwork.
- Prioritise safety in product development, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation for all production and installation environments.
About you
- A degree in Engineering, coupled with robust experience in the design and development of manufactured refrigerated products, air conditioning and heating for residential consumers.
- Proven background in manufacturing, complemented by a strong understanding of refrigeration manufacturing (essential)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from academic professionals to production operatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and develop opportunities that enhance product quality and reduce costs.
- Proficiency in computer applications related to manufacturing and commercial contexts.
