Key responsibilities of all the roles will include:
- Offer strategic guidance to internal and external stakeholders regarding every facet of procurement strategy and execution.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, systems, and frameworks for procurement related activities to deliver best practice procurement and contract management solutions that comply with relevant legislation.
- Influence and support key stakeholders to improve procurement practices and compliance across the business.
- Recognise and oversee commercial, contractual, operational, financial, ethical, and supply chain risks as necessary.
- Mentoring and coaching procurement team to ensure the ongoing adherence and compliance to relevant contract legislation, industry standards and local government’s contract policy and processes.
- Positive management of relationships between local government and its suppliers
Successful applicants will require:
- 5+ years experience in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
- Experience leading procurement processes through effective management and / or facilitation to achieve desired outcomes at lowest overall cost and best value for money.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications desirable
