Role and Responsibilities:
You will play a pivotal part through the procurement and delivery phases. This will include managing a team of advisors to prepare transaction plans, documents, and reports together with coordinating key inputs from the organisations technical, business, legal and commercial teams. Your role will see you:
- Managing transaction activities through the Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Request for Proposals (RFPs) and associated evaluation and commercial negotiation activities up to and including Contract Award
- Plan and manage the execution of the transaction processes for the project's procurement, which will include developing a transaction program and establishing appropriate tender management governance and methodologies
- Lead the development of commercial and contractual documents to comply with required government processes for the delivery, operations, and maintenance of the project solution including the management of these contracts during the delivery period
- Provide strategic advice to the Director of the project and the broader project team in planning for the delivery of the transaction function and contract development for the delivery and operations phases
- Provide leadership guidance, make recommendations, and collaborate with the business and critical stakeholders to ensure the project solution meets the business’ needs
- Anticipate and address potential risks associated with the procurement, contracting and delivery of the project and use as a basis for recommending improvements
About you:
- Proven history in managing Victorian government procurement activities and understanding of the Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) guidelines and framework
- Experience with high risk and high value procurements
- Extensive experience in leading teams and ability to adapt leadership style to manage and motivate your team to achieve high-quality outcomes
- Great collaboration and communication skills as you will be working with different stakeholders of all levels and ability to tailor communication style to different stakeholders
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills and commercial acumen
- Experience with Victorian government Contract Management (advantageous)
- Experience in ICT or construction categories is highly advantageous
