Randstad is on the lookout for a Business Analyst to provide support for the Major Works Division providing a leadership function in business improvement. This will include leading continuous improvement in the ongoing development and implementation of organisation processes, and the development of solutions/requirements in an interface role with ICT and other information and technology suppliers.

Randstad is on the lookout for a Business Analyst to provide support for the Major Works Division providing a leadership function in business improvement. This will include leading continuous improvement in the ongoing development and implementation of organisation processes, and the development of solutions/requirements in an interface role with ICT and other information and technology suppliers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide analysis and advice for business solutions and systems throughout Major Works Division.
  • Drive business improvements through identifying system and process opportunities
  • Implement process change with staff across Major Works Division.
  • Develop business cases that describe and justify the requirements for investment in new tools,
  • processes and systems
  • Meet with key business units to understand business needs, gather information and analyse
  • requirements.
  • Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of existing business operations to establish a base for developing improved structures, processes and systems.
  • Analyse workflow to create process, information and technology models and identify areas of potential improvement.
  • Assist the business in developing their business requirements projects within agreed policies, standards and architectures and in getting this signed off by the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Execute safety responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities consistent with client.

To succeed in this role you have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline (e.g., economics, business, , commerce or) and/or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to cover a range of audiences including end-users, business unit managers and employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate business solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in critically reviewing business performance, program performance and preparing and assessing business cases and project management plans
  • Understanding of all aspects of the systems and process development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience applying business analysis skills to critical performance requirements, including program/project review and unit cost rate analysis
  • Demonstrated Project Management acumen and understanding of business processes and practice
