About your role

You will be hired as one out of two copy centre officers with an Education provider in Strathfield with Full time hours (35 hours a week). Your experience with providing copying and finishing services using a range of delivery media formats including but not limited to using fully automated, high-speed, high-volume equipment will see you advance in these urgent positions.

Responsibilities include

1. Provide customer service to our external customers (both core students and
commercial clients) with reliable, high-quality products in a cost-effective and timely
manner allowing them to reach desired learning outcomes regardless of their
locale.
2. Provide customer service to our internal Allocating workloads and meeting
deadlines to ensure a high volume and timely output throughout the year.
3. Assisting the supervisor in ensuring that equipment is running to full capacity
including daily maintenance and cleaning and immediately reporting any
malfunctions.
4. Liaising with all levels of staff to provide advice about copy preparation methods so
that their copying and finishing needs are met and queries resolved.
5. Assisting the supervisor with purchasing of all materials relevant to the operations
of the Print/Copy Centre.
6. Providing management reports and statistics.
7. Assisting the Supervisor, Print/Copy Centre Services regarding duplicating
requirements of a range of delivery media for customers, printing, copying and
finishing options, sourcing of competitive quotes for printing and outsourcing
solutions.
8. Ensure the core NSW public sector values of cultural diversity, equity and ethical
practice, and a healthy, safe and fair workplace.

What you will need to succeed

Experience in this field is a must along with honesty and integrity. Someone that doesn't make excuses and delivers or takes ownership of their work.

  • Daily use of PrinterFace. An online Print ordering platform servicing TAFE DIGITAL, TAFE Western Region and Commercial Clients. Ensure correct programming is followed to match cost of production.
  • Liaising with all levels of staff to provide advice about copy preparation methods so that their copying and finishing needs are met and queries resolved.
  • Operation and Maintenance of all Finishing equipment including Guillotine, Booklet Maker, Letter Folding Machine, Scorer, Celloglazer, Heavy Duty Drill/Stitcher, Wiro/Comb - Puncher/Binder and Electronic Padding Device.
  • Pre-Press and Submission of all Print Request through CANON Australia software “PRISMAprepare”.
  • Assist in the training of Print & Media and M+D Warehouse Staff.
  • Advise the Supervisor Print Copy Services of Hardware/Software issues.
