Executive Principal | International K-12 school | United Arab Emirates

Randstad Education are proud to be partnering with a prestigious international school in the United Arab Emirates, to find their new executive principal. We are looking for a strong, cooperative, culturally sensitive and result-driven leader, who is ambitious in improving the educational outcomes of all 1400+ students at the School. The Executive Principal will be leading a senior executive team consisting of four Heads of School, a Deputy Head and three Directors (finance and operations, information technology and teaching and learning). There are fourteen Heads of Department in the school. The preferred start date for this role is August 2018. Extensive experience in leading a K-12 international/IB school of similar size and complexity is required.

From working with this school and their board in the past, it is clear that they are collaborative and driven and offer a very supportive environment. The school has excellent facilities and offers a high quality program to their students. The Executive Principal will have an important role in nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

Required experience and competencies:

  • Demonstrated leadership of a curriculum, teaching and learning environment, leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and strategic thinking and future-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community
  • Demonstrated ability to manage effectively human, financial and physical resources to deliver high quality organisational outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability leading a large, complex primary AND secondary school or K-12
  • Extensive experience managing a senior leadership team
  • Extensive experience in working in and leading an international school, preferably in the Middle East

Required documents, diploma’s and qualifications (Please note: you are NOT eligible for a visa in the UAE if you cannot provide all these documents)

  • Secondary (High) school certificate, year 10 certificate, year 11 certificate and year 12 transcript of results.
  • Bachelor of Education (original academic transcript)
    Bachelor Degree in Science/Art AND your Diploma in Education (original academic transcript)
  • Preferably a Master’s degree in Education or Educational Leadership
  • Police clearance / criminal history report from your country of origin
  • Original Teacher Registration Certificate and all Statements of Service
  • Proof from a doctor or medical institution that you have undertaken a course of 3 Hepatitis B vaccinations

The process
Applicants will go through a thorough screening process and will be able to familiarise themselves with the school and role on several occasions, both digitally and in person

Stage 4 - Your references will be requested to complete our online reference check within 72 hours
Stage 5 - Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a face-to-face interview in Brisbane with the current Executive Principal of the School between the 19th and 23rd of March 2018
Stage 6 - Shortlisted candidates will be invited for further conversations with students, teachers and other members of the Executive Team in the United Arab Emirates between the 9th and 13th of April 2018
