Your new role/s:

The Principal Project Officer & Senior Project Officer will assist in the successful delivery of the Resource Recovery Industry Development Program (RRIDP). This program will provide $100 million over three years to support and develop the resource recovery, recycling and waste to energy industry by providing grant funding for projects that reduce waste going to landfill.

About your role/s:

As Principal Project Officer you will:

  • Project manage elements of the RRIDP to ensure the timely and successful delivery of the program.
  • Provide clear and concise reports on program delivery milestones and identify and assess any risks associated with the program.
  • Utilise your experience in grants delivery to ensure that all stages of the process are developed and delivered in accordance with departmental and government guidelines.
  • Given the complex nature of the fund, be capable of distinguishing and applying the governance and operational requirements of each funding stream.
  • Manage engagements with stakeholders and proponents to facilitate the funding of projects that deliver the governments objectives which are currently articulated in the Transforming Queensland’s Recycling and Waste Industry, Directions Paper.
  • Demonstrate understanding or ability to understand the waste, recycling, resource recovery and/or waste to energy sectors.

As Senior Project Officer you will:

  • Provide clear and concise written and ‘data heavy’ reports on program delivery milestones and identify and assess any risks associated with the program.
  • Utilise your experience in grants delivery to support all stages of the process.
  • Given the complex nature of the fund, be capable of distinguishing and applying the governance and operational requirements of each funding stream.
  • Engage with stakeholders and proponents to facilitate the funding of projects.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to understand the waste, recycling, resource recovery and/or waste to energy sectors

You will be successful in this role, if you will tick all the boxes below:

  • Project management experience
  • Experience in developing Grants Programs
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports associated with program
  • Demonstrated understanding of waste / recycling / energy sectors
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

Both roles will commence on a 3 month contract with view to extend pending performance.

Principal Project Officer will be engaged at the AO7 level and the Senior Project Officer will be engaged at the AO6 level
