The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and approving electrical designs, overseeing technical and design aspects of ongoing projects, and preparing bids for HV electrical infrastructure. This role involves commissioning new installations, conducting system studies and power system analysis, as well as mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and approve electrical designs
- Manage and execute technical aspects of projects and bids for HV electrical infrastructure
- Conduct commissioning of new installations as needed
- Perform system studies and power system analysis
- Supervise and guide junior engineers
- Drive business development for electrical infrastructure projects
- Prepare tender designs and ICAP systems
- Commission protection and control systems and primary electrical plant
- Ensure compliance with Company Work Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems
Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Degree
- Registered Professional Engineer
- 8+ years of similar role experience
- Leadership experience in design and commissioning teams
- Comprehensive understanding of modern protection relay technology and substation automation
- Detailed knowledge of primary electrical plant design in transmission and distribution substations
- Proficiency in substation control systems and SCADA systems
- Familiarity with civil and mechanical engineering aspects of substations and overhead power lines
- Ability to produce conceptual and detailed designs for ICAP systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
