Are you looking for a great teaching experience to work with indigenous children at a remote school in the Outback? Then we are looking for you! The position is at a large school with 700 indigenous children for whom English is their second language. This is a great opportunity if you would like to learn more about the indigenous culture and would like to experience the Outback.

About the School:

This is a School with 700 enrolments and a team of 50 Teachers. The School is located in a lare, remote community in Northern Territory. English is the second language for the children at this School.

The school aspires to develop the whole person, building independence, encouraging people to achieve their full potential, whilst continually striving for self worth, integrity and excellence.

The team consists of enthusiastic, committed and helpful staff working cooperatively with families and the wider community to achieve a happy and successful school



About the role:

We are looking for a Primary School Teacher for a year 5-6 class. The class has about 15 children for whom English is the second language.

Who are we looking for?

  • We are looking for someone who is open minded and would like to learn more about different cultures and environments
  • You must have a Bachelor of Education or equivalent
  • Able to obtain teachers registration with NTRB
  • Able to obtain a OCHRE card with SAFE NT (working with children check)
  • You do not need a lot of teaching experience. All Teachers are welcome to apply!
