Our client is a global vendor of cloud software solutions and is looking to grow their Pre Sales team to support their expansion in Australia. This would be a good opportunity for someone with some experience in technical sales or experience working for a Consultancy, that wants to take a step up in their career and work towards a more senior tech sales roles or even go down a hands-on technical path.

The Pre Sales Consultant is responsible for providing pre sales support and/or consultancy to the sales team, prospects and existing customers throughout the sales cycle. This is a customer-facing role, and the Pre Sales Consultant will frequently provide technical product demonstrations to customers and prospects, including C-level and other senior stakeholders and decision makers. The pre sales Consultant will work collaboratively with the sales team and be a subject matter expert for customers.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the solution by working closely and collaboratively with Product Management and be able to effectively communicate the value to customers
  • Provide technical demonstrations of the product and build a vision of what the product can achieve for key stakeholders at the customer’s institution
  • Ability to translate the client's business requirements into specific solutions, applications, process designs and implementations of mobile solutions
  • Lead the functional and product related tracks of a sales campaign and control the outward facing messaging to prospects on these matters
  • Attend meetings with potential Clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensure that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution

Desired experience and skills

  • At least 2 year's experience in IT sales, or technical consultancy experience
  • Knowledge in system integration technologies, protocols and standards
  • Ideally Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and be proactive
