Change Manager

12 month initial contract

Sydney CBD

Primary purpose of the role:

Lead the design and delivery of change management strategies and plans, using a structured methodology to maximise employee adoption and minimise resistance.

Key accountabilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of change services (e.g. scope, impact assessment, change management strategy, change management plan, risk mitigation, change communications, capability assessment, resistance management, coaching) align the change management framework and project management methodology
  • Provide expert advice to and consult with, senior executives, people managers and stakeholders on complex and sensitive issues to enable sound decision-making on change management priorities and issues to ensure achievement of objectives, on time and to budget
  • Manage ongoing business change readiness and related risks (people, business continuity and organisational) to facilitate informed discussions with executive stakeholders and develop appropriate change management strategies
  • Lead continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities and proposing innovative approaches to achieving objectives
  • Promote strong working partnerships with Program/Project Managers, Human Resources, Corporate Communications to ensure change strategies are aligned with key work stream activities and milestones
  • Coach and develop the change capability of the portfolio across the business and embed change into agile teams
  • Dealing with a diverse range of complex matters and highly conceptual issues, and exercising judgement in a context of rapidly changing and competing priorities and conflicting perspectives, to achieve quality outputs and recommend practical solutions within limited time frames
  • Maintaining consistency between organisational objectives and diverse, complex, internal and external stakeholder requirements.
  • Operating with autonomy within the limits of agreed work plans and being fully accountable for the quality, integrity and accuracy of the content of specialist advice provided and for the delivery of assigned projects and programs on time and within budget

Key challenges:

The Governance and Program Management Office leads enterprise programs and projects, working as an integral part of multi-skilled, dynamic and fast paced program delivery teams. The idea is to attract the best and brightest to support the pipeline of transformation activity. This role is essential as you support the people and the organisation through the impacts of change.

As a Change Manager (Principal Change Advisor) you will lead the design and delivery of successful change management programs. You will partner with senior leaders in the organisation to understand their business and identify and design effective solutions to enable delivery of complex change initiatives.

This role will work between Gosford, Sydney and Parramatta offices with regular travel required.
