Randstad are working with a NFP Organisation who are looking to engage with prospective candidates who are skilled and experienced working in research and policy, particularly within the not for profit sector. As an experienced Policy and/or Project specialist, you will be self motivated and capable of bringing your talents to our client who values meaningful impact and commitment.
You will bring the following experience to your new role:
... - Effective written correspondence such as briefs, policy, reports
- Ability to develop in depth knowledge of new subject matter quickly to advise and recommend on policy matters
- In depth research and analysis on relevant topics to help inform policy
- Working effectively within team environments and stakeholders for positive outcomes
- Input and understanding of project management with experience working in NFPs and with Boards (desirable)
- Contribute to related policy and goals of the team, branch and division by assisting with tasks and consulting with internal and external stakeholders
About you
- Highly developed written skills, ideally with previous experience in drafting discussion and policy review papers
- Demonstrated research skills with the ability to identify key pieces of information from various sources
- Demonstrated skills in data analysis
- Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Great attention to detail
- Experience and exposure or qualifications in Agriculture
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills
Your responsibilities include
- Providing policy advice
- The drafting and development of policy review reports and discussion papers
- Stakeholder engagement and management
- Provide input for briefs, minutes and submissions for the executive team, stakeholders and members
- Undertaking individual or team-based research and analysis projects
Desirable qualifications
- Experience in public policy administration, project management, policy review, policy research and governance
- Certification or higher in Agriculture and\or Animals
