Many of ours clients within the state government are tasked with critical decision-making policies on matters that have significant repercussion on the state's economy, environment and community. As such, we are looking for suitable policy officers with generalist experience across a range of disciplines to provide hi-level advisory support across one or more projects.

Some of your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Co-ordination and preparation of complex reports, briefing notes, submissions, publications and correspondence;
  • Actively attend regular briefings, project and committee meetings;
  • Undertake key research on designated policy matters and legislative issues;
  • Support project management activities across various life-cycles for multiple projects; and
  • Perform necessary analysis incorporating them into various reporting structures.

To be considered for these roles, you will possess a minimum of 2-5 years government policy experience. Equally important is your ability to liaise with a diverse group of stakeholders in contributing towards the supply of ongoing policy advice and recommendations at one or more projects assigned to you. As part of your research activities, it is essential that you are able to rapidly acquire relevant legislation/ regulatory knowledge and make recommendations and changes as required. Therefore, review and development of legislation is a key skill we would be looking for. Equally important is your government strategic reporting skills and the ability to provide high level recommendations to provide guidance and direction on projects from a policy perspective.

- Energy & Water policy
- Innovation and Commercialisation
- Environment Policy

With specific project and policy expertise required by many of our clients, you will have a clear-cut demonstration of prior experience in specific disciplines of interest and the ability to transfer skills across a variety projects.
