Our client is a successful and well known organisation that design and build building materials, used for residential and commercial construction. Due to an internal movement, a great opportunity has become available for an experienced Shift Warehosue Supervisor required to lead, motivate and drive process improvement at their Tullamarine site.

The role will focus on identifying and implementing policy and procedures to ensure continuous improvements and in turn greater efficiencies. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Leader who can set the tone.

The role will include but not limited to;

  • Ensure all safety policy and procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure a high quality service standards to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure there is a high degree of accuracy of inventory through pick rates efficiency standards
  • Enforce and implement high warehouse operational standards to all team members
  • Provide professional support to the team members
  • Provide support to planning departments as well as dispatch teams
  • Provide exceptional Leadership and mentoring and support to all team members to ensure they meet departmental KPI's
  • Coach employees to constantly initiate process improvements
  • Ensure there's team compliance, including appropriate licenses, checks and requirements as per EBA's
  • Ensure compliance is met a per Relevant Legislation requirements
  • Undertake projects as required by the Senior Leadership group

The successful candidate must have at least 3-5 years experience in Warehousing/Logistics Operations with a proven track record in a Leadership role. Knowledge of Warehouse or Logistics Systems and capabilities to implement process improvement strategies. Previous experience in construction or building products is advantageous but not essential.

We are seeking an individual who has strong People Management skills along with exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) Previous experience dealing with OHS programs and or Industrial Relations issues advantageous.
