Our client are on the search for an experienced plumbing estimator to look after the plumbing side of their business. After gaining quick succession since inception over 20yrs ago, this privately owned and operated organisation are looking for another vital key to their business.

Therefore, we are assisting our client who are looking for an experienced Plumbing Estimator – Commercial & Shop Fitouts who thrives on “the win” and is driven to make an impact on the plumbing contracting business.

About the role

Please note that we will consider applicants who are interested in working from Brisbane or Gold Coast office.

You will responsible for consulting with clients, evaluating their needs, offering value-based solutions & estimating commercial plumbing projects within key industry sectors.

Your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Evaluation and calculation of proposals and tenders including the management of tender enquiries and ensure their completion within specific timeframes
  • Read and interpret building and site plans / engineering drawings for accurate take-offs, including the gathering & interpretation of firsthand information from sites
  • Assess and prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotations and project packages, including material lists, tender schedules and program of works
  • Build client relationships in order to understand requirements and also achieve business cost savings
  • Consult with key stakeholders (internal and external) on planning requirements & associated costings to ensure smooth delivery of projects within scope, budget and timeframes

In addition to the above, to be successful in the role you will also have:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated commercial and shop fit out experience and industry knowledge
  • Plumbing Trade background preferable
  • Strong people-person
  • Ability to build, manage and maintain relationships

This well-established mid-sized provider of small to medium, high volume, Integrated Building Services throughout all regions of Queensland. The Plumbing Contracting division of the business provides services that includes the full spectrum of plumbing contracting works, leak detection & specialist reporting, shop and commercial fitouts & refurbishments, reactive, programmed & preventative maintenance, and critical infrastructure maintenance and upgrades. Key customers include State and Local Government departments, Insurance and Aged Care providers along with mix of hotel, resort and commercial building owners and managers.
