Seeking an individual with exceptional people management, coaching and mentoring skills to take over management of three plants, improve output and ensure DIFOT is maintained. If you have a mechanical aptitude or background, understand plant maintenance, production volumes, stretch targets and SAP or are PC literate, then we would like to hear from you.

As the Production Manager, this role will have full responsibility for production across three sites. The position will be responsible for everything from personnel to health and safety, plant performance, materials, product quality, fixed and mobile plant and operating costs.

As Production Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Instilling a Zero Harm Culture
  • Day-to-day management of staff
  • Ensure that approved procedures and work instructions are implemented and followed
  • Record and monitor daily production information
  • Undertake inspections
  • Review customer orders to ensure service levels
  • Maintain all equipment and ensure plant is operating and at maximum capacity
  • Coach and mentor direct reports in quality systems and continuous improvement
  • Develop relationship with customers through site visits, pre-delivery assessments and after sales follow ups

We are seeking

  • Good knowledge of heavy industry production
  • Understanding of profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow and key valuation techniques
  • Relevant WHS and IRMS policies

  • Ability o make good decision and show strong judgement under pressure
