ABOUT THE POSITION:
As part of a team of 2, you will be responsible for improving productivity and workmanship by providing maintenance materials, documentation and support with planning. With the global system upgrade, you will act as the superuser to ensure a smooth transition.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Complete the spare parts database and allocate spares to assets.
- Drive maintenance effectiveness and right first time execution by improving the breadth and depth PM’s and right first time execution.
- Make recommendations to the Engineering manager for plant modifications where required to improve plant performance and reliability.
- Maintenance Audit to ensure that work as documented is what is completed and task lists are updated to reflect on the fly improvements.
- Complete a 1S review of the current maintenance stores holding for components that are not used in the plant and discard.
- Run a spare parts “where used” report and set minimum stock and reorder quantities for all spare parts
- Perform a spare parts stock take and make recommendations to the Engineering manager for priorities for spare parts purchases.
- Reimagine the store layout focusing on component type, make, where used and usage frequency.
- Make provision in the stores layout for rebuilding WIP that is waiting on components and job based kits to allow rapid response in the event of plant failure.
- Record OEM data against spare parts in CMMS and update the list as required based on data captured in failure events.
- Ensure OEM installation and maintenance instructions are reflected in PM’s
- Provide monthly reports of machineries up time.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS & SALARY:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification preferred.
- High Degree of Proficiency using CMMS Maintenance Management Software Required
- Excellent attention to detail and internet search abilities in order to accurately source & identify components
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
