Science/Mathematics
English/Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)
Location: Port Augusta, South Australia
Salary: $80,000 - $115,000 + Super
Employment Type: Permanent
About the Role:
Reporting to the Principal/Deputy Principal , the successful candidates will work collaboratively with the school community to facilitate positive learning by students and engage in educational reform.
You will be responsible for applying curriculum knowledge and teaching methods that facilitate successful learning , responding to learners' needs , and providing a balanced and challenging program. The roles require actively committing to uphold and contribute to the ethos of Catholic schools and Caritas College.
Key Responsibilities:
...Plan a comprehensive learning program in line with the Australian Curriculum in your designated subject area (Science/Maths OR English/HASS).
Establish positive and effective relationships with students and maintain a task-oriented learning environment.
Assess, record, and report learner achievement using required programs and systems, providing positive feedback on performance that reinforces student achievement and focuses on improvement.
Employ behaviour management strategies which ensure a safe, orderly and successful learning environment.
Identify individual learning needs and styles, and plan learning experiences that enable all students to achieve success, including using Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) as appropriate.
Attend staff and other required meetings, parent-teacher interviews and other school-related activities as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
Current Teacher Registration in South Australia and relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work collaboratively within a team environment and effectively teach students to achieve required learning outcomes.
Proficient ICT skills and knowledge and ability to fully utilise required systems and programs, or ability to quickly learn and use effectively.
Willingness to actively and positively uphold and contribute to the culture and ethos of the School.
Must hold a current and acceptable Working with Children Clearance and screening to work in Catholic Education SA.
Must hold a current valid Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care certificate.
