This role reports into the HR Operations Manager and is supporting a team of 18 in payroll, they check the time sheets (T&A) system, download T&A CSVs and upload them into the payroll system. The team then runs the payroll production process, checks the rates are correct, pays super, pays tax, calculates terminations & handles queries.

The payroll team you will be working with all have a strong knowledge of technical payroll & award interpretation and are working from standard operating procedures.

Time and attendance (time-sheets) are input by a different system, there is a time and attendance administrator in situ that is responsible for this system being configured correctly. By correctly, meaning in line with the award legislation and enterprise agreement, where applicable.

HR information is stored on a separate human resources information system, this also links into the payroll system and has a dedicated administrator.

The Role

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to ensure that the payroll system:

- Interprets the T&A and HRIS data correctly & that there is continuity of records (master data) across all three systems.

- Ensuring compliance within the payroll system.

- Managing the customisation and configuration process of the payroll system.

- Ensuring EBAs changes, increment increases, rates & allowances are applied in a compliant fashion.

- Analysing the payroll systems database, documenting and reconciling data, removing duplicates and ensuring the data is managed in an optimal fashion.

- Improving the integration between systems & payroll processes using the systems & excel.

- Managing the data cleansing project prior to STP (single touch payroll) implementation.

Experience required:
