Randstad is seeking a resourceful and motivated Payroll Officer to join an organisation going through an exciting period of growth! If you have a keen eye for detail and are looking to draw on your experience in a similar role, we would like to hear from you

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing of the fortnightly and monthly payroll as per relevant awards and EBAs
  • Calculating PAYG, overtime rates, leave, super etc
  • Handling and resolving payroll enquiries within relevant timeframes
  • Liaise closely with other departments and line managers
  • Processing new starters and termination paperwork
  • Running weekly payroll reports
  • Month end reporting and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with all record keeping requirements
  • Preparation, balancing and reconciling payroll, PAYG, tax and superannuation
  • Maintain employee details, pay records, and salary information
  • Manage internal workflow and capturing of information for new starters, internal movements, and terminations

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and competencies

  • Experience processing a large, high volume payroll
  • Experience working with Government agencies highly regarded
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Superior communication skills
  • Knowledge and exposure in EBA interpretation
  • Ability to follow processes and work within strict timeframes
