Your New Company/Role:
As one of the well-established organizations, my client is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer/Senior Payroll Officer to join their team based in Somersby NSW 2250 - Central Coast. This is a permanent full time position based in Somersby. Ideal candidates will have great end to end exposure in payroll duties.
This is a standalone payroll position, reporting to the Head of Finance. There is manual processing involved in some part of the role so someone who is hands on is ideal.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a manager who is nurturing and supportive, your main responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- End to end payroll processing in accordance to policies and procedures - processing for 130 people across 4 entities - on a weekly pay run
- Time and attendance system for award interpretation - using Excel
- There are some manual processing - a lot of data entering into Excel and then upload onto the system
- On board new employees and enter variations to employment records
- Process termination requests and payments ensuring correct PAYG withholding on payments
- Update personal leave entitlements where there is an increase in Full Time Employment
- Update masterfile details
- Working closely with other business units for timesheet sign off etc
Ideal Profile
To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within accounts payable duties:
- Minimum 3 years related experience within the Payroll domain
- Experience working in a standalone role would be advantageous but not essential
- Exposure in XERO system would be beneficial but not essential
- Ability to interpret awards and new legislation alongside
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work with minimum supervision

- $85,000 - $90,000 + Super [based on experience and skill set]
