Our client is a large, dynamic company that are constantly looking for new ways that they can improve. They have been a significant business within Victoria for a number of years and deliver great service & products to the community.

They have a shared service centre, based here in Melbourne CBD, who are responsible for all finance, HR and IT services for the organisation.

Within that shared service centre there is a small payroll team delivering payroll services to over 1,700 employees on SAP.

Due to an internal progression they are currently seeking a payroll officer to join this friendly team.

You would be responsible for:

- Processing payroll.

- Ensuring the accuracy of payroll.

- Ensuring compliance of the payroll.

- Handling staff queries.

- Accurately reviewing and clearing overnight jobs - ESS & workflow tasks.

- Updating and maintaining leave and ensuring leave reconciliations.

- Ensuring the payrolls are processed in line with the companies policies.

- Process separation payments.

- Ensure all payments are 100% accurate.

- Assisting with year end reconciliations and reporting.

- Ensuring good working relationships are developed with internal stakeholders and supplying accurate and timely information when requested.


- We are looking for someone who has a good technical understanding of payroll, who would be able to start on a 12 month contract initially and who has experience with a large business's payroll.
