    MULTIPLE PAYROLL OFFICER ROLES AVAILABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY!

    We are actively engaged with our Federal Government client's in Canberra who are looking for an APS4/5 level Payroll Officer to commence an initial 6 months non-ongoing contract with possible extensions and an ongoing roles as well.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Responding to payroll queries
    • Onboarding new starters and contractors
    • Conducting salary progression reviews
    • Managing leave liability
    • Superannuation
    • Maternity leave
    • Administering probation
    • System access management
    • Processing separations
    • Processing promotions and higher duties
    • Processing supervisor changes
    • Conducting reconciliations
    • Day to day payroll processing
    • Interpreting and providing advice to staff on salaries and related entitlements, leave and general conditions of service in line with the Enterprise Agreement and related legislation, policies and procedures
    • Participate as a constructive team member to deliver ongoing improvements, quality of service and professional practices and standards.

    The Successful Candidate:

    • Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and work successfully in a team environment
    • Have knowledge of, or willingness to obtain knowledge in compliance with relevant government standards, legislation and policy
    • Have excellent communication skills for liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Be able to apply an appropriate level of investigation and consideration to issues,
    • Work collaboratively and supports others.
    • Candidates must be an Australian Citizen.
    • Experience using SAP/AURION software is desirable
    • Minimum 2 years experience in Payroll
