job description

We are recruiting for a payroll officer to start ASAP on a temporary to permanent basis within a medium sized health organisation based in the inner north east of Melbourne.

You will be responsible for:

- Helping an outsourced provider to process payroll for 1,500 staff.

- Coding high volumes of timesheets into the system as per the health awards and ensuring the timesheet is correct.

- Managing the employee email inbox for payroll queries.

- Requesting changes be made to employee details.

- Terminations and redundancy payments calculation, superannuation and LSL Queries.

The organisation is a positive and forward looking one, at the moment the payroll is set up in a manual way and this role could develop into a key part of the implementation of a new T&A system and the modernisation of processes.
