Payroll Officer (6-12 month fixed term contract direct with the business)

  • Large Australian Local Business in the inner east.
  • Team of 6 and multiple EBAs
  • High performing team using SAP
  • $85,000 + super

Work for a huge Australian business and develop your payroll skills.

A large Australian interstate and international business operating out of all states in Australia as well as North America are currently looking for a payroll officer. Reporting to the payroll manager, you will be responsible for the accurate provision of payroll services to the business, which has over 5,000 staff and multiple EBAs.

The business has been running and been profitable for over 35 years has consistently delivered value to their shareholders. They are responsible for significant operational innovations within their industry over the years and are a bastion of stability and profitability in their sector.

Your objectives in this role will be:

  • Responsible for a portfolio of sites for payroll.
  • Responsibility for answering queries on payroll & providing resolutions.
  • Responsible for upcoming projects.

Key responsibilities for the role.

  • Analysing and amending discrepancies SAP.
  • Data input to prepare payrolls.
  • Importing T&A data to SAP to run payrolls.
  • Checking and distributing reports from SAP.
  • Distributing payslips.
  • Preparing worksheets to support super payments, PRT and workcover.
  • Admin assistance with workcover.
  • Accurate preparation of STP summaries.
  • Updating the payroll system.
  • Responding to queries and sorting out problems with payroll.
  • Ensuring payroll compliance.

Requirements:

  • Previous general payroll experience or time and attendance system experience.
  • Intermediate word, Excel and Outlook skills.
  • Experience answering payroll queries.
  • Experience running payroll reports.
  • Experience using SAP as a payroll system to run pays.
