HR Partners by Randstad is excited to be partnering with a beloved National FMCG company in Sydney Olympic Park for a Payroll Manager 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Reporting to the Workplace Relations Manager this role will lead, manage, develop and assist a team of 6 in end to end payroll.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ability to navigate and translate a complex structure
- Considerable management exposure to complex multi layered systems and must have Chris21 experience
- Will work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
- Process end to end payroll
- Maintaining employee records within the payroll and time and attendance system
- Ensuring timely processing of payroll in accordance with legislative, industrial and company requirements and procedures
- Interpretation of multiple Enterprise Agreements (EAs) and Awards
- Support cyclical payroll activities to meet requirements
- Check and rectify any issues identified re paying employers and to liaise with P&C team
- Processing and reconciling superannuation, payroll tax and other payments related to payroll
- Payroll reporting internally and externally
- Provide operational guidance and technical expertise and support on all payroll related matters.
- Quality and process improvements of payroll to enhance efficiencies
- Up to date with legislative changes and strategic advice on all payroll matters
- Lead and participate in payroll projects
To be successful in this position, you will be:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager with a minimum 5 years of work experience.
- Ability to interpret and implement Award’s, EA’s, policies, and procedures.
- Great stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- High level attention to detail and numerical leaning
- Customer centric focus but with a questioning mindset
- Self-motivated and proactive – strong problem solver and solutions driven
- Strong understanding of payroll practices, legislation and compliance
- Demonstrated effective time management and communication skills
- Ideally but not essential if has come from a similar industry/sector (mix of white and blue collar
