Responsibilities Partnering with Parks Victoria’s senior leaders, this position is responsible for the provision of divisional financial reporting, financial analytics, budget planning and forecasting services to facilitate business decisions and outcomes. Partner with business areas in developing and implementing divisional level financial strategies to enable the organisation’s objectives to be delivered in a financially sustainable manner.Provide strategic financial advice and quality financial reporting to the business/operations areas to facilitate decision making.Promote good financial management and commercial acumen throughout Parks Victoria so that resources and fundings are used appropriately, efficiently and effectively.Work closely with the operations areas to ensure budgets align with the corporate strategy, corporate plan and business plan.Support Parks Victoria divisions to ensure the organisation’s overall financial, legal, statutory and governance requirements are met.Communicate financial and budgetary related messages and concepts effectively with a very wide audience in ways that ensures understanding and maximise engagement to influence outcomes.Fully understand and evaluate strategic issues, risks and opportunities in order to make decisions that affect Parks Victoria’s operations. RequirementsTertiary qualifications in commerce, accounting, economics or equivalent.Membership of a professional accounting body such as CPA Australia or ICAA.Demonstrated people leadership and team management experiences.Demonstrated strong business partnering skills, with an ability to engage and influence non-finance stakeholders at all levels.Strong analytical and quantitative abilities. Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and BI tools such as PowerBI. Experience with handling large data sets across disparate data sources.Experience in Oracle Financials and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) would be advantageous.Build and maintain external and internal relationships.Have a strong understanding of Parks Victoria and Government.Contribute to the leadership of Parks Victoria, at a divisional or regional level.Hold a driver’s licence.Ability to travel to regional Victoria offices on an ad-hoc basis.
