We are seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Payroll Manager to lead our dedicated payroll team. In this pivotal full-time role, you will be responsible for coordinating workload priorities across our Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia payroll operations, ensuring the delivery of a quality, timely, and accurate payroll service.
You will provide essential direction and assistance to the payroll team, overseeing all reporting and compliance with statutory requirements. A key aspect of this role involves the ongoing maintenance of our payroll (Chris21) and time management (Kronos) systems, alongside the hands-on processing, implementation, and management of weekly and monthly payrolls.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Submitting payroll data to legislative bodies as required.
- Posting payroll journals to the general ledger for payroll-related items.
- Assisting with the ongoing maintenance of Chris21 and Kronos systems.
- Performing any other relevant payroll tasks as directed by the Payroll Services Manager or Group GM Commercial & Technology.
This role operates within a supportive team of three, with working hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Skills & Experience
- Solid experience with payroll system management, particularly Chris21.
- Comprehensive understanding of payroll conventions, calculations, and determinations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of payroll best practice and legislative compliance across multiple jurisdictions (AU, NZ, SG, MY).
- Proven experience in report preparation, interpretation, and review.
- Ability to coordinate and provide direction to a payroll team.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, or a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
