About the Role:
As a Payroll Governance Consultant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of payroll operations. Leveraging your expertise in payroll systems and processes, you will:
- Conduct detailed investigations and reconciliations of payroll data, resolving discrepancies and ensuring data accuracy.
- Act as a payroll subject matter expert, supporting various business projects and delivering key outcomes.
- Collaborate with payroll leads to ensure that all process maps and work instructions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Align payroll governance approaches with broader People & Culture projects to maintain operational excellence.
- Gather and interpret requirements for technology and process changes driven by legislative or business needs.
- Ensure all risk, compliance, and control measures are effectively managed and maintained.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes and systems.

Relevant Experience:
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive payroll experience within complex corporate environments, with a proven ability to manage payroll reconciliations and audits.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar payroll systems, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytic capabilities with the ability to interpret and act on complex data, translating it into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and work across cross-functional teams.
- A passion for operational and customer excellence, and the ability to drive improvements in a fast-paced environment.
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in the financial services sector is preferred but not essential.
