job description

ABOUT THE EMPLOYER:

We are working with a national client that supplies parts and equipment to the construction and mining sector. The business is one of the largest privately owned businesses in their sector and has been around for over 30 year. They value their employees as much as they value their clients. ABOUT THE POSITION:

Our client is looking for a Parts & Inventory Controller with at least 3 years in a similar position . They ideally seeking a dynamic and a self started with experience in a similar sector. You will be responsible for all aspects of Parts control and Inventory management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Weekly inventory control, ordering of new stock;
  • Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management
  • Accepting and processing of parts requisitions;
  • Receiving and checking all incoming parts;
  • Day to day running of service department;
  • Lead and improve health and safety on site;
  • Oversee inventory according to company guidelines;
  • Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts;
  • Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records;
  • Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders; collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities; process orders for shipment;
  • Review operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment;
  • Track rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions;
  • Nurture positive relationships with suppliers and provide customer service as needed;

QUALIFICATIONS & SALARY:

  • Relevant qualifications will be of great advantage;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position;
  • Salary - $60,000 + super. Client is open to permanent or contract employment;
