Are you an experienced administrative professional with a passion for providing high-level support? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Executive Assistant or Senior Admin Officer. In this role, you will provide essential administrative expertise and strategic support to the Regional Director, handling a range of confidential and time-sensitive issues, and ensuring smooth operations across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist administrative and corporate support to the Regional Director, including managing sensitive issues, preparing reports, briefings, and policy advice.
- Coordinate projects, prepare for meetings, and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure effective operations.
- Assist the Regional Director in the implementation of operational communication and consultation strategies.
- Support senior leadership in interpreting business plans and policies to achieve workflow objectives.
- Oversee regional business operations, including ministerial briefings, executive reporting, human resources, and financial management.
- Lead and assist the regional business support team, ensuring efficient coordination and strategic direction.
- Resolve operational challenges to increase efficiency and manage priorities effectively.
- Provide occasional support to the delivery teams, administering grant programs, processing funding agreements, and engaging with funding recipients.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to advocate, negotiate, and prepare reports, briefs, and correspondence on complex issues.
- Sound understanding of government policies, processes, and business systems, with the ability to stay informed of changes and their impacts on operations.
- Proven ability to collaborate as part of a team, consult with others, and share relevant information to achieve shared goals.
- Proactive decision-making skills, with the ability to take prompt action and effectively manage priorities.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities, with experience in managing executive functions and supporting high-level operations.
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Economics, or a related field is highly regarded.
- Experience working in Public Sector is desirable however not necessary.
