This leading rail infrastructure contractor are looking for a P6 Primavera Project Planner/Scheduler for up to six months on a major rail project based in North Ryde.

This leading rail infrastructure contractor are looking for a P6 Primavera Project Planner/Scheduler for up to six months on a major rail project based in North Ryde.

There is a competitive rate on offer- looking at paying around $90 an hour plus super.

Position Requirements/Responsibilities;

Assist project teams with planning, scheduling, tracking and updating progress within the P6 project schedule to meet requirements of the Alliance

Development of P6 project schedules in accordance with the scope of works and relevant guidelines – baseline and execution

Development of detailed hour-by-hour programs for critical rail network construction works

Provide support to project teams requiring impact assessments and scope changes

Provide accurate cost and progress reporting via progress dashboards

Assist in the continual improvement of scheduling department processes and work instructions, including template schedules.

Promote and educate scheduling principles to project team members

Skill and Experience;

Primavera P6 experience at intermediate level or higher – including cost loading

MS Project experience at intermediate level or higher

Exceptional communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally

Rail experience would be highly regarded

Minimum 4 years in construction environment – preferably rail/civil

Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands

Proficient skills in MS office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Visio etc
