Intimate 29 place primary school located in Mount Gravatt seeks an experienced OSHC Coordinator to join their team, following the retirement of their current Coordinator.

This is an incredibly rare opportunity to work in small service licensed for 29, running before and after school care from 7-8:30am and 3-6pm. Located on the Uni campus, you have access to swimming pools, tennis courts and anything else the university has to offer!

We are looking for a leader who is reliable, dedicated and able to implement a service program that is fun, exciting and developmentally appropriate. Given the size of the service, you will be a "wearer of many hats" and will be responsible for all aspects of the service, including admin, policies and procedures and setting/clearing of activites.

You will be working with an incredibly supportive team, a small chain of command (alongside the Principal, you will be part of the school leadership team) and wonderful environment.

Hours are negotiable but we do require full availablity, Monday-Friday. Minimum hours currently are 30 per week, possiblity of 38 for the right individual.

YOUR ROLE

  • Facilitate team building and learning through coaching and mentoring, monitoring, guiding and supporting educators in the implementation of programmed activities
  • Evaluate programs regularly and develop systems to ensure appropriate modifications are made to meet the needs of the children, whilst also promoting continuous improvement
  • Manage and organise the development of the service program, monitoring the implementation of activities to ensure they are child-oriented and developmentally appropriate

The position is permanent part-time, with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Hours of work vary between 6:45am to 6pm. There is the option for full-time (38h) for the right individual.

Requirements

  • An ACECQA approved Diploma or higher in Children's Services
  • A current Working with Children Check or equivalent, first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate.
  • At least 12 months experience in OSHC, with 6 months in a position of mentoring and training staff
  • The skills to lead other educators, motivating them to excel as they deliver fun and educational programs
  • A proven ability to build and nurture respectful and mutually-beneficial relationships with children and their families
  • A supervisor Certificate or willingness to obtain
