The role –
Operations Officer (EO7), in the Hazardous Materials Unit, Hazardous Materials Chemicals and Radiation Section.

Key Accountabilities –

  • Administering the hazardous materials mailbox
  • Assisting in responding to inquiries relating to hazardous waste and dangerous goods matters
  • Ensuring inquiries and responses are recorded
  • Assisting in building a knowledge base

Ideal candidate –

To be successful in this position you must possess a broad understanding of the policies, practices and statutory requirements that support the operations of the department. You will be required to provide a high level of daily administration, withstanding a high work load under pressure with strict deadlines. You must have excellent attention to detail with experience providing exceptional written and verbal communication as you would be required to convey information to internal and external stakeholders. This role will suit someone with a technical or science background.
