A newly created opportunity for a strong OD Manager with business transformation experience to make their mark with a transforming organisation!

The Opportunity

HR Partners is partnering with a leading and transforming essential services organisation to recruit an OD Strategy & Program Manager.

Based in Port Macquarie and reporting to the Lead HR Business Partner you will be responsible for the development and implementation of OD and associated programs and initiatives that improve OD outcomes.

This position will be instrumental in partnering with senior operational managers and OD team members in order to drive change and deliver their OD objectives.

  • Development and implementation of an OD strategy, programs and initiatives
  • Establishing, implementing and managing a framework for benchmarking, strategic plan development and the implementation of new and emerging best practice technologies and work practices
  • Establishing and implementing effective program/project management governance processes
  • Leading and developing a quality team that provide direction, guidance and solutions
  • Effective management of program and project costs, forecasting of projects and program expenditure
  • Development and implementation of the OD related Communications Strategy
  • Providing expert advice and thought leadership on issues impacting the effectiveness of the OD strategy, OD performance and opportunities to optimise OD outcomes
  • Preparation of reports, presentations and position papers for relevant stakeholders
  • Facilitating business partnering arrangements in order to drive change and enable the effective implementation, and embedding, of initiatives and changes to work practices across the business.


You will be an OD subject matter expert with previous experience in building an OD function and frameworks. You will be a motivated and engaging individual with a high level of strategic thinking and the ability to roll up your sleeves and be hands on. You will bring OD experience from within a complex and matrix environment, have a proven track record in building organisational structures and have the ability to work with and influence leaders and senior stakeholders.

Finally, you will bring a passion for working collaboratively as part of a team, strength in delivering to expectations and agreed timelines and an innovative and creative way of thinking.
