Occupational Therapist

My client is an established and well respected Not-For-Profit organisation based in Sydney’s West with an enduring reputation of exceptional service delivery and an empowering culture.

Due to significant growth and the maturing of the NDIS scheme. My client is seeking an Occupational Therapist with experience working within the NDIS and a passion for supporting NDIS participants in building capacity through assessing functional limitations and providing therapy to empower performance in their daily activities and occupations.

As the Occupatonal Therapist, your Key Responsibilities will Include:

  • Assessing clients' emotional, psychological, developmental and physical capabilities using clinical observations and standardised tests
  • Assessing clients' functional potential in their home, leisure, work and school environments, and recommending environmental adaptations to maximise their performance
  • Planning and directing programs through the use of vocational, recreational, remedial, social and educational activities on an individual and group basis
  • Providing adaptive equipment, such as wheelchairs and splints, to assist clients to overcome their functional limitations

As the Successful Occupational Therapist, you will Possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 24-months experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Demonstrated knowledge regarding Assistive Technology and Equipment Prescription
  • A contemporary, positive attitude towards disability and a passion for working with disability.
