About the business

This is a small family owned and run business based in the Eastern suburbs of South Australia. This company offers occupational therapy support services to children and their families improving their daily living activities and ensuring a better quality of life. They currently have an excellent reputation and due to growth are looking for their next team member.

About the role

  • Supporting children between 3 and 18 years of age with a range of developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental delay, ADHD, motor coordination challenges, intellectual disability
  • Providing individual assessment and therapy in a variety of settings, including clinic, school and home settings
  • Report writing skills to provide a summary of the goals achieved and to assist with setting goals for the next 6 – 12 months
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the client, their families and carers, the team and other allied health professionals

  • Provide an understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Work with a team of experienced OT’s sharing therapy knowledge and resource

  • Have a positive attitude and willing to contribute
  • Ability to take initiative and to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish a good rapport with the child and their family
  • Have the ability to provide a high level of clinical services to clients
  • Excellent time management skills, highly organised and flexible
  • A passion for ongoing professional development
  • Approved qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
  • A current driver’s licence and own vehicle
  • Current WWCC, or willing to obtain one
