- 12 month engagement + extensions
- Must be in Canberra
- Must have a NV1 security clearance
- Candidate must be an Australian citizen
Duties include
- Assess information from various sources, undertake research and conduct interviews including security assessment interviews at NV2 level.
- Perform detailed analysis and assessment, and prepare recommendations in high-level written report form.
- Providing policy and related procedural advice regarding security clearance requirements as outlined in the Australian Government’s Protective Security Policy Framework.
- Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to support security clearance processes.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the performance and quality of the department’s approach to vetting assessments, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Contribute to improving the efficiency and rigour of the section’s procedures for conducting security vetting and providing advice on security vetting matters.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security) and knowledge of the Australian Government’s Protective Security Policy Framework.
General attributes

- Ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision.
- The ability to think strategically and demonstrate sound judgement and initiative.

Desirable:
- Experience working in Government or a similar high-security environment.
- Experience in Quality assurance or training in a security vetting environment.
