About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Distribution Manager (preferably in a Food/ FMCG environment), who will be willing to go the extra mile and take a ‘hands on’ approach to ensure the NSW team are successful in achieving DIFOT targets, while driving exceptional standards.

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the NSW Distribution Site, while ensuring the distribution of a wide range of products around NSW.

Key Accountabilities:

• Managing the NSW Distribution, sales site and facilities
• Warehouse management
• Inventory management and managing the ERP system (JDE Edwards)
• Analytical reporting for logistics
• Managing the transport schedules
• Providing leadership to the small NSW logistics team
• Driving the high standards of safety, quality and productivity
• Resolving customer and supplier queries
• Liaising with Sales and the head office to ensure customers orders are fulfilled
• Managing the fleet of forklifts
• Managing the NSW Sales vehicles fleet
• Office management

Ideally, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications or study in supply management, operations or similar would be highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience in leading a warehouse team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines
• Experience with ERP (JD Edwards or similar) or warehousing management systems and intermediate computer skills
• Experience in analytical reporting
