The successful incumbent will have a proven track record working as a Senor Network Engineer, have strong sense of working in a team environment, a pragmatic approach to problem solving and solid work ethic.

Essential skills required:

Previous hands on experience working Aruba network products (wireless access points is a nice to have) is mandatory (ACMP or ACSP certifications highly regarded).
This role is 5 days onsite so no remote work.
Strong knowledge of experience working with Cisco routers and switches.
Strong experience and knowledge of next generation firewalls (including Palo Alto).
Hands on experience with IP, VRF, Switching and Routing Protocols (Spanning Tree, LACP, VLAN, QoS, BGP, OSPF)
Hands on experience and knowledge of Switch Stacking, DNS, DHCP, SSO, Active Directory, Network Access Controllers Switch Stacking, DNS, DHCP, SSO, Active Directory, Network Access Controllers
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills
experience in supporting and managing hybrid environments with vendors

My client is a large Government Department based in Sydney's Greater Western Suburbs currently undertaking an expansion of the ICT Infrastructure. As a result of this expansion they have immediate contract requirement for a Network Specialist to come on board for an initial 3.5 month engagement and troubleshoot and maintain their core network environment.
